Mental Health First Aid International

Mental Health First Aid International is a not-for-profit organisation that develops, delivers and evaluates accredited mental health training programs which can be licensed and culturally adapted by suitable mental health organisations in other countries. The Mental Health First Aid Program began in Australia in 2000 and has since evolved into a global movement with the program now being adopted and delivered in 24 countries. Mood Disorders Society of Canada

It was formally launched and incorporated in 2001 with the overall objective of providing people with mood disorders with a strong, cohesive voice at the national level to improve access to treatment, inform research, and shape program development and government policies with the goal of improving the quality of life for people affected by mood disorders. 

 

National Center for Biotechnology Information

Research Articles - Treatment of anxiety disorders. Despite comprehensive, high-quality neurobiological research in the field of anxiety disorders, these reviews indicate that specific biomarkers for anxiety disorders have yet to be identified. Thus, it is difficult to give recommendations for specific biomarkers (eg, genetic polymorphisms) that could help identify persons at risk for an anxiety disorder.

Saint Joseph's Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic (ATRC)

The Mental Health & Wellness Resource Centre is committed to providing persons in recovery, their families, and community members with easy access to reliable, user-friendly information about mental health, addictions and related issues. The Resource Centre provides support and educational material that enables informed decision-making and compliments care. Resources are available in a variety of formats including print, video, DVD and audio, along with internet access.
